I'm Back

Well after a long, long, long break I'm ready to start blogging again. Boy oh boy do I have some great ideas for this little blog of mine. So be sure and stayed tuned! As always if you have an idea, question or just want to be friends again  leave a comment.

In other news yesterday was my first day of cosmetology school. I thought the days of going back to school were behind me, but here I am voluntarily signing up for this crazy ride.

To the people in my life who have been so encouraging and loving with this decision I thank you! I couldn't be doing this without you!

Here is my first day of school pic, because I believe moments like this need to be documented. So what if I was too embarrassed to ask one of my new classmates to snap a little of pic of me and ended up taking a #selfie in the bathroom.

Here's to lots of hard work and new beginnings!

Mani Monday

As promised this is from my Birchbox.
And you need to go get it.
It's the perfect color for fall.
Carry On by Essie has the same feel as Lincoln Park After Dark.
A deep vampy burgundy.
But not as dark, which is just fine with me.

Check out Heather. Why? B/c you get to see some rockin' manis!

Birchbox {10.12}

This month Birchbox teamed up with Goop.
Here is an article about the partnership.

This box included
Marie Veronique Organics: Body Oil ($36)
Sprout: Lip Balm ($18)
Joanna Vargas: Daily Serum ($85)
Essie: Nail polish in Carry On ($8)
Luna: Lemon Zest

Really excited about the body oil, nail polish (hello next Monday), and face serum.
What are you excited about from your box?

Let's talk about somethings that I loved in my past couple of boxes.

Schick: Hydro Razor
The best razor I have ever used.
Put my beloved Venus to shame.
No razor burn here, it leaves my legs so soft.
Don't know if I will ever use another type of razor again.

Kiehls: Abyssine Cream
This might be the best moisturizer I have ever used.
I horded this baby and shed a tiny tear the day I used it all up.
It is super hydrating, left my skin so soft and plump.
If it wasn't so expensive I would consider bathing in it.

Ojon: Damage Reverse Restorative Conditioner
This conditioner made my hair feel like butter.
It made my hair so shiny and felt like it actually nourished my hair.
Made it stronger, manageable and hydrated.

What have been your favorites from your past boxes?

Mani Monday

This week I'm mixing it up with three colors that are perfect for fall.
Essie: Wicked (deep red), Power Clutch (grey) , Stylenomics (green)
Lately Essie colors have been calling out my name, and I'm not mad about it.

Like every week, I'm linked up with Heather
So check her out. She is the bee's knees!

Mani Monday

Happy Columbus Day!
I do hope that you get to enjoy your bonus day off.
And heck, maybe even get a manicure.
It's #manimonday after all.

It all started when I saw this rose gold glitter nail polish in cvs.
A Cut Above by Essie*.
Then I read this post
I knew this nail polish and I belonged together.
Then I kept walking by it in the store and kept putting it in my basket.
At the last second putting it back.
Never being able to justify it.
That ended yesterday.
It came home with me, and I'm happy it did.
I love the luxeffects by Essie.
Have a few of them and they are the perfect glitter.
They look both great over other colors and look great on their own.

On another note has any tried Deborah Lippmann nail polish?
Are they worth it?
Heard the glitter one's are amazing.

I'm linked up Heather! You should check it out if your in the mood to see some amazing manis.

A Peek Inside my Shower {Body}

I thought it might be nice for you to peek inside my shower and see the products that I use and love.
As you might of known by know I'm a bit of a product hoarder.
It has gotten better, but sometimes I relapse.
Hey! We all have our vices right?!
Mine just happens to make my hair and skin smell good.
I don't think that such a bad thing.

Lush: Ocean Salt
This stuff is awesome.
It is so hard to find a scrub that doesn't dry out my skin.
This stuff is no joke.
It makes your skin so soft and leaves it feeling hydrated.
It is abnormally expensive.
But so worth it!
It does come in two sizes and I recommend the smaller one to start off.
I use a little bit all over my body every time I shower.
Once a week on my face.

One of my favorite Aveda products!
This smells so delicious.
Like fresh limes and mangos.
It's super hydrating.
The smell does linger on your skin.
And I love smelling like a rain forest so that's just fine with me.

Lush: Sultana of Soap
I asked for the most hydrating/creamy soap they had
and this is what was given to me.
It is both.
And leaves my skin incredibly soft.
This little baby smells so delicious.
Contains bergamont and frankincense, two of my favorite aromas.
No wonder I'm so in love with this soap.

Lush: King of Skin ($13.95)
Another great hydrator.
Lush calls it a body butter its more like a solid lotion bar.
You keep it in your shower and use it on wet skin.
The heat of the shower melts the bar
and then your skin absorbs all the goodies in it.
This leaves my skin so soft, hydrated and helps calm down the irritation that I have.
It hydrates with banana, avocado, shea and coconut oils.
It is rich enough to use that you don't need to use a lotion after.
Soaks into the skin surprisingly fast so you don't have to worry about being greasy all day/night long.

EOS: Shave Cream ($5)
This is hands down the best shaving cream that I have used.
It is really light and works well as a barrier.
Doesn't irritate or dry out my legs.
Plus it smells delicious.
Like you can eat it.
My favorite is Pomegrante and Raspberry.

Venus: Razors ($15)
Venus is the best!
Hands down.
I usually get the ones for sensitive skin.
They just work better than any other razor that I have tried.

What are your shower must haves?
